Last February 22, 2018, the world of non-life insurance was rocked as four companies joined forces namely Alliedbankers Insurance Corporation, PNB Gen, Philippine National Bank and ATMSafe to form one powerful FUSION.
The event was held at the Parking Grounds of PNB Financial Center, President Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City, Philippines.
The purpose of this event is to maximize the capacity of the banks and do a cross-selling of non-life insurance products by promoting the bancassurance incentives.
This was attended by Branch Managers, Area Heads, Region Heads and other bancassurance partners and served as a sales rally in achieving the target of 800 million. Now I know you might say that this target may be too high. But with the fusion of ABIC, PNB, PNB Gen and ATMSafe, there’s no way but to the top!
The afternoon kicked off with an AVP that highlighted the fusion of these four companies followed by a welcoming remark by PNB Gen, Senior Assistant Vice-President, Mr. Joel Fuentebella wherein he discussed the great things that will happen through this fusion. According to him, this fusion will give wins not just for the all the employees involved but mainly, for the customers. Hence, #CustomerWins!
Another highlight of the evening was the Q&A with ATMSafe Sales & Marketing Manager Ms. Rowena Magpantay, PNB Gen Bancassurance Division Head Ms. Rizza Q. Reyes, PNB Executive Vice-President for Retail Banking Mr. Bernie Tocmo and ABIC President/CEO/Director Ms. Rebecca B. Dela Cruz. During this segment, the 4 leaders hyped up the crowd by announcing the target for 2018. The race to 800M is on!
This event was also used to recognize and acknowledge the 2017 winners of ATMSafe along with the top bancassurance performers from PNB Gen and ABIC.
The second speaker for the evening was none other than ABIC President/CEO/Director and new Chairperson for PIRA, Ms. Rebecca B. Dela Cruz. Her speech was dubbed as “Fusion Talk” as she discussed about innovation and transformation that will happen with the fusion. I tell you, this writer is beyond excited for this.
The main part of the evening was the commitment rites. Various leaders and officers from the four companies were called up on stage lead by PNB Senior Vice-President for Retail Banking Ms. Adelia Joson, PNB Executive Vice-President for Retail Banking Mr. Bernie Tocmo, ABIC President/CEO/Director Ms. Rebecca B. Dela Cruz and PNB Gen Bancassurance Division Head Ms. Rizza Q. Reyes. The leaders encouraged the crowd especially the bancassurance partners to commit and embrace the new target for 2018.
The evening was capped off with a community song for the four companies. All employees of the companies along with the other members of the audience sang the 80’s pop hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship. The title of the song is very apt of what this fusion is all about. With the 4 companies working together, there is no way of stopping them. After the sing along, everyone enjoyed free flowing drinks from Tanduay Distillers and snacks from 8 Beats Premium Popcorn.
